Japan Travel and Study Experience
My Travel Story
Japan has been a long-time dream of mine and personal passion. I'm in love with their culture and society. My longterm goal is to be a teacher at a Japanese school and teach English. I've been trying to learn Japanese on my own here at home, but I'm finding it difficult to get the hang of it without the immersion. So I've decided to go to Japan and learn from the professionals.
Meiji Academy
The program I will be using to study both the language and culture in Japan is Meiji academy. It's a beautiful program that helps accommodate me through any difficulty I may encounter. They support students through the whole process of what I need to do before going, during my stay and coming home. They are one of the best programs in Japan for setting people up with classes and cultural activities as well as setting up their students with jobs and any necessity needed to live and work in Japan. I'm ecstatic about partnering with them for this whole journey. What I'll Be Doing In Japan
In Japan, I will be studying the Japanese language for four weeks and learning about their culture for another two weeks. I'll be staying in a shared home during my stay and attending as many learning (and fun) activities as possible to get the most out of this experience. As I've said, I've studied a little bit of Japanese on my own already, but I want a more immersive experience. While I'm there, I will also be getting a feel for what it is like to live in Japan and possibly teach there. I think it is always a good option to know what you are getting yourself into, especially if you are looking to work in a different country. This program is the perfect opportunity to do just that.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to read this and considered (or did) contributing in any way. Anything you can help with is much appreciated. I will keep you all updated on my progress and will be sure to blog about the experience.
