My Travel Story

My story is one of both hardship and hope. The Angolan civil war forced my mom and some of our family to flee, eventually finding refuge in Portugal and then finding love in the Netherlands. My mom and dad had me, Ilona, and my two younger sisters. Here, we built a new life, a privilege we deeply cherish. But a part of us remains in Angola—the rest of my family.

This campaign is more than just a visit; it's a bridge. A bridge to reconnect with my roots, to understand the struggles they face, and most importantly, a bridge to offer them a helping hand. The truth is, I've never met most of my closest relatives. They're not strangers; we call sometimes. But I don't really know them.
