Help me continue to live in the Philippines
My Travel Story
Hello all,
I am here to ask for a bit of help. So, long story short, due to visa issues my fiancé was deported from the USA to his homeland in the Philippines in 2022. I worked 90 hour weeks for several months to be able to support myself and save up the money to move to be with him.
I arrived in the Philippines December of 2022. I had to quickly find us a home to live in and jumped at the first place we toured that was available to us. Unfortunately, I didn't do the math quite right and it is quickly becoming a financial burden. We signed a year-long lease so we are not able to move out until this upcoming August. Once our lease is up, we will be searching for a cheaper home to rent. Please note, we are not living extravagantly, just a bit above our means and therefore it is quickly cutting into my savings.
I have been doing online transcription work as a way to try to get some income l, and I am looking for online jobs every day but with no luck so far.
At the moment, I am seeking help to have the money for our rent for the next year so that I can continue to look for work.
If I am not able to provide for us here, then I will be forced to go back to the States to work and be separated from my fiancé, Bruce, for many months. I am desperate to not be separated from him again.
He is also searching for work, but it is very difficult to find here in the Philippines.
And so, I humbly come before you all and ask for any kindness you can spare.
