My Travel Story

If you are reading this you likely know me personally OR know me due to my social justice work. I'm raising funds to finance a trip for our 15th wedding anniversary to Jamaica. My day to day work fighting oppression & supporting Black organizers is both difficult and supremely underpaid. Most of my work is not paid at all. This trip is an important one not only because of the anniversary milestone, but also because of a significant need for self-care right now for me personally. After 2+ years of non stop organizing, I'm taking a break & I need your help to make it as nourishing & carefree as possible!

I have also invited several other Black women who have been working dilligently in the movement for the last few years on the trip. This will be a healing space for all of us and a time to leave behind the stresses of our day to day work and focus on ourselves.

    So amazing to see we are at 78% with the new campaign goal. I wish you all knew the sense of relief that washes over me with each donation. The ability to afford this trip without stressing our household to the breaking point means everything to us.
