My Travel Story

It has been my daughter and I since she was around 3-years-old. She will be 10 on August 12th. When she was about to turn 6, her "mother", who has, and to my knowledge, still does have an addiction, chose to snatch her up after trying to attack me in front of my daughter! For 14 months I tried everything I could to at least see her, until I decided to study child law! Finally, I was able to get her back! A bitter sweet moment of pain! She was beat, neglected, bullied by her other siblings, had full grown lice, protein in her urine, and an U.T.I. (with discharge)! I will not go into detail but it was the worst feeling to know that her own "mother", blood, and supposed to be, family, treated her like trash! She had forgotten how to brush her teeth, her ABC's, etc...! It was horrible at first to even talk about, but now she finally has her smile back. She finally feels like somebody! 
Me, personally, I believe everybody has a story. I just want her to realize and see that there are good people in the world. And it is possible for her to be loved by somebody besides me. Ever since she was little she wanted to go to California, but I haven't been able to make her dream come true. When I came across this, I figured it was worth a shot, and if it happened by some miracle, not only were her dream come true, but she will also be able to see that people care and have good hearts!
She started 4th grade a few days ago, but she's always stood up for the ones in kindergarten and first grade and quick to help out anyone, even when she needs help herself! 
By all means, I really hope this works. If not, say a prayer, or whatever it is you choose, for her, please! I, personally, would appreciate it! I appreciate your time!
