Hello, my name is Benito and I’m a college student from Lansing, Michigan. I have always dreamed of visiting Paris, the city of love and lights, and I was planning to go there this year with my friend, who is studying French literature. We have been saving up for this trip for over a year, and we were so excited to finally book our flights and accommodation.

However, a few days ago, something terrible happened. Someone stole my car from the parking lot of my apartment complex. I had left my laptop, my passport, and most of my savings in the trunk, thinking they would be safe there. I was wrong. The thief took everything and left me with nothing but a broken heart and a shattered dream.

I filed a police report, but they said it would take weeks or months to find the culprit, if ever. I also contacted my insurance company, but they said they would only cover the value of the car, not the contents. I was devastated. I had worked so hard to earn that money, and now it was gone in an instant.
