Help me fly to the States to study Musical Theatre!
My Travel Story
My name is Shayne. I am currently a Senior in highschool, all the way here in Davao City.
And next year I will attend a university in the States in pursuit of a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre. As of now I have an academic admission letter from Webster University, and I have an acceptance letter from the Department of Dance & Theatre from the University of New Hampshire. My other schools I'm still undergoing the audition process for in Mid January up til February.
I'm doing all this purely as I believe it is my calling. I've always known myself as a performer at heart, and growing up I've come to love storytelling as a craft. To make theatre, even better, make musical theatre is to do what I love. Do what makes me happy. Entertainment. Philosophy. Performance Arts.
I am pursuing this dream in the States as I believe there is no place better than the very home of Broadway to give me first-hand rigorous training, discipline, and experience.
I'm doing all of this without the security of my parent's support. I have been saving my allowances that my grandparents give me and I will be applying for a loan to fund my academic pursuits. Helping me fund my plane ticket to where I'm meant to be would be of great help, any amount will do! The goal is $1000, that would be around ~50,000 PHP, depending on the state I end up in (hopefully NY) that grand would be able to cover about three layovers, even in other states. Wish me luck? :)
