My Travel Story

My name is Alana, I am an 18 year old Biomedicine student from Melbourne Australia and I have been accepted into a program with Gap Medics to complete a placement of Medicine in the Dominican Republic. I will be travelling there in July 2018 where I will be able to volunteer at regional hospitals in the Dominican and also local orphanages as well. I will not only benefit from your donations but the local community in Santo Domingo, Punta Cana and La Romana will greatly benefit as well.

Your Support will be greatly appreciated and any donation no matter how big or small will make a huge difference. This money will not only go towards flights and paying for the program but it will also be used to purchase essential products to bring over to the orphans in the Dominican such as clothing, blankets, food, and books. I also hope to have enough money to bring extra medical supplies over to some of the lesser developed hospitals I will be working at.
