My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Anggit. I am 25 years old and I am a Psychology student in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

I thoroughly enjoy outdoor activities, especially hiking. I am also very passionate about the environment around me. I have been involved in numerous environmental volunteering activities. These have had a positive impact on both me and the environment.

In this campaign, I aim to raise funds to support my journey to a mountain in Central Java, Indonesia. The mountain in question is Mount Sumbing and Sindoro. I have visited this mountain several times and it's disheartening to see so much litter there. Such waste shouldn't be present, but due to many hikers not caring enough about the environment, they neglect to maintain its cleanliness.

Therefore, some friends and I are planning a trip to the mountain to launch the #mountaincleanup campaign. By sharing our activities on social media, we hope that fellow hikers will follow suit and become more environmentally conscious, especially regarding cleanliness on the mountains.

This funding will be very meaningful for us, because as students, we do not have sufficient income to fully finance these activities.

The collected funds will be used to purchase garbage bags, transportation, accommodation, provisions, and some medical needs.

I sincerely hope that you can be a part of our hope to further improve human behavior towards the environment.
