My Travel Story

June 11th I'll be starting my 6 week adventure to Delhi, India. My first week in India I'll be participating in Orientation Week, where I'll learn basic Hindi to better communicate with locals and take a basic India culture and cooking class. The following three weeks I'll be volunteering at a women's center, to help educate and teach equality. My last two weeks in India I'll be Volunteering at a children's center and working hands on with local street children. While in India I plan on taking advantage of every open opportunity to learn and grow as an individual.

     I have a decent background in volunteer and service work. I started volunteering at age 7/8 at a local food bank and working with mentally and physically challenged youth at my school. My passion for helping grew rapidly over the years. I've participated with Habitat for Humanity, local blood drives, and was an outdoor school counselor during my high school years. Sense then I've served 5 years in the U.S Army and recently volunteered in Nepal at a orphanage for two weeks. 

    I'd greatly appreciate any level of support from sharing my story with friends, family and co-workers to a small monetary donation.
