My Travel Story

Hello! My name is Jordan and I’m a 16-year-old high school student. Currently, I am attending the global studies and world language academy at Tallwood High school. I’ve always had a love for languages and for foreigner cultures. Traveling has also been my life long dream. I recently got accepted into a three week summer program to go to South Korea in August. The only problem is that my family has financial issues and without outside help, I most likely can’t go. I have a single mother who works two jobs and an autistic little brother. This is very challenging and we barely make it by. To me this is more than a trip because in the future I hope to be a translator abroad in various places around the world, specifically South Korea. To me it is a dream and something I’ve wanted and hoped for for such a long time. Languages are my passion and so is seeing the world, so the thought of not being able to go even after being accepted is heart breaking. Please help me.
