My Travel Story

On my self journey working on my inner thought process, the abilities laying dormant and reaffirming the power and passion for those things that feed my mind body and spirit whole heartedly. On a pathway ignited by confidence, quality of life, showing kindness to others and understanding peace and grace is attainable!!! Going to study/volunteer abroad with a Segal Award Scholarship offers me the chance to volunteer and show compassion to others far from what norms seen where I live. 
Being able to experience other cultures and their way of living, without being a tourist, will give a broader outloook of how others cherish their time with family, friends and new connections. 

My passion for others and learning their way of life, seeing how that knowledge can help me on my journey to coninue showing up for others is what drives me. 
It was chosen due to the conversation I had with the director about the program, the possible networking and relationship building it would afford me sealed the deal. 
Its giving me an opportunity to think, live, show up for others outside of my box, create lasting memories, compassion and love for others!!!!

Being an AmeriCorps member has given me opportunites to be placed in schools to help with mentorship, math as well as college, career and work life options. This allowed me the opportunity to engage and create bonds, build confidence and encourage young people that no matter the step you are on in your journey, its ok to adjust, add to or take away from it as many times as needed!!!!!! By the end of the school year as I'm signing their shirts they started to sign mine as well and in pure fashion tears of joy came after!!!!!

This inspires me to continue reaching as many as possible no matter the potential barrier be it language, culture or distance, a mutual love for helping others, being open and respectful to others views keeps that internal push going!!!!!
