Hello, 
I have the opportunity to learn about the Sicilian Mafia, their role in modern society, and their relationships with the American Mafia in Italy. This program will give me a once in a lifetime opportunity to go abroad, meet new people, and learn new things. I am passionate about criminology and criminal justice and I am currently striving towards becoming a crime scene specialist (CSS) in Phoenix, Arizona. Going on this trip will allow me to go out of my comfort zone by meeting new people and making connections outside of ASU. In addition, I will get to experience being on a plane for the second time in my life and going to a country abroad for the first time. It is a new and exciting adventure that I cannot wait to be on.
