Our family has been through an unimaginable journey. Our son, 5 year old Evan, a Super Mario enthusiast, and his 8 year old sister Emma, a lover of all things Japanese, had dreams of visiting Japan shattered when Evan was diagnosed with AML leukemia. This cruel illness not only took away Evan's health but also put immense strain on the entire family. Evan underwent chemotherapy while staying at the hospital, this meant that my wife Mila and I, were hospital bound too, impacting our family not just emotionally but also financially. On top of everything, Mila is pregnant with our third baby, which is due in January.
