Hi, my name is Joseph Ndungu, and I’m a computer science student with a deep love for nature, history, and African cultures.
I’ve always felt that technology makes more sense when you understand the people and stories behind it — the traditions, the journeys, and the heritage that shape how we see the world.

This year, I promised myself one thing:
to step out of the classroom and explore the ancient sites, waterfalls, and cultural spaces I’ve only read about.

I’m planning a learning journey across East Africa, visiting places like the ancient rock-hewn churches of Lalibela, the historic streets of Zanzibar Stone Town, the old Swahili settlements of Lamu, and the stunning Blue Nile Falls. These places carry centuries of history, and seeing them in person would completely reshape how I understand humanity, creativity, and innovation.

This trip is more than travel — it’s a chance to grow, to learn, and to document the beauty of our continent from my own eyes. I’ll be taking photos, writing short reflections, and sharing everything with supporters.

WHY I NEED SUPPORT.

As a student, covering all the travel and accommodation costs alone is tough. Any contribution — even the smallest — gets me closer to a dream I’ve held for years:
to walk through history, learn from different cultures, and reconnect with nature in its rawest form.

If you choose to support me, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You’re not just funding a trip — you’re helping me build a new perspective on life, people, and the world.
