My Travel Story

Help Me Get My First Passport & Start My Travel Journey!

Hi, I’m a 27-year-old from the Malaysian countryside, and I’ve never had a passport. My whole life, I’ve been working shift jobs, commuting on my trusty moped, and supporting my family as the go-to IT guy. But I’ve always dreamed of exploring beyond my hometown—starting with the neighboring countries.
How This Will Impact My Education & Career

Traveling isn’t just about sightseeing for me. As an IT professional and someone passionate about learning, I believe experiencing new cultures and environments will broaden my perspective, improve my adaptability, and help me grow personally and professionally. Meeting people from different backgrounds, seeing how technology is used in other countries, and stepping outside my comfort zone will be a huge boost to my career.
Making a Difference in My Community

Coming from a small town, I know many people who dream of traveling but don’t think it’s possible. By sharing my journey—starting with my first passport and my first trip—I hope to inspire others to step beyond their limits. I plan to document my travels, from budgeting for the trip to exploring on my moped, showing that adventure is possible even with limited resources.
Why I’m Passionate About This Project

I’ve always admired travelers who share their experiences, and I want to be one of them. Riding my bike across Malaysia has already been an adventure, but I know there’s a whole world waiting to be explored. This journey isn’t just about travel—it’s about proving to myself (and others like me) that you don’t need to be rich or privileged to see the world.
Why I Chose This Destination

I want to start small—exploring neighboring countries like Thailand, Singapore, and Indonesia. These places are close yet culturally rich, and they feel like the perfect first step into the world of international travel. Plus, I’d love to experience their local tech scenes, food, and the joy of riding my moped in a completely new environment!
What Makes This Meaningful for Me

This isn’t just about a trip—it’s about breaking barriers. For 27 years, I’ve stayed in one place, but I know there’s so much more out there. Getting my first passport, taking my first international ride, and sharing my experience would mean the world to me. I hope you can help make this dream a reality.

Thank you for supporting my journey!
