Dear Friends and Family,

Hello, my name is Alexis Davis, and I am a Health Science Studies major, on the Pre-med track at Baylor University. Baylor University has a Pre-Health in Dublin program that will allow me to study abroad in Dublin, Ireland, while staying on track with my Pre-Med course load. This program will allow me to take Organic Chemistry, and Human Physiology, as well as do research through the University of Dublin. The Dublin, Pre-Med program will benefit me personally and professionally by offering a new perspective on life, discovering who I am, participating in cultural exchange, and having deeper bonds with future patients.

Although I have much passion for being a doctor, my purpose in life is not to be consumed by a textbook but by bonding with people and creating experiences that will allow me to connect with others on a deeper level. In addition, going to Dublin and studying abroad will help me professionally by enabling me to offer different perspectives on learning and healthcare. Education and medical practices are different globally and will open my mind to change. Lastly, this program will allow me to bond with my future patients. In treating many individuals, this experience could help me connect with them more profoundly. This bond and connection to their culture will also allow my patients to trust me, which is essential when offering treatment.

I am thankful to those who have supported and encouraged me to go after my dreams of becoming a doctor and going to Dublin will affect me in many more ways than I can express. If you feel compelled to donate, I will be forever grateful. The funding will assist me with travel, meals, and accommodation costs.
