This semester I decided to pursue my dream of acquiring an international internship.  I believe networking internationally can promote global cooperation. Communication is said to be essential when it comes to the journalism field, and this is wholly true. Without the ability to interact with one another, there would be no news to report. This international internship opportunity has happened at a pivotal time in my life. As I near closer and closer to graduation, I’ve come to realize it is more important than ever to make connections within my future area of employment. Hearing from professional alumni who have interned abroad in the field have made a profound impact on me, and I sincerely hope one day to be one of those professionals that make an impact on young journalist like they have made an impression on me. I aspire this goal, not as a resume builder, but as a way to meet people of like mind, and work within a group of others who all aspire to reach the same goals as myself because as the saying goes, we are all stronger when we work together.
