From February 3rd to February 17th I have the opportunity to travel to South Africa on a horse safari volunteering experience.  For two weeks I will be calling Mpumalanga my home.  We will be exploring the Nkomazi Game Reserve on horseback and caring for the horses.

We will have the chance to see cheetahs, lions, elephants, zebras and giraffes (to name a few).  Hosted by Wild Inside Adventures, this trip is designed as an opportunity for horse safaris to be accessible for people who normally could not afford the full package.  It’s a holiday for a fraction of the price of a riding safari, in exchange for looking after the horses and guests.

This is a huge opportunity for me to do something at the top of my bucket list and I am so excited and grateful to be going on this trip at this pivotal time in my life.  Horses have been a huge passion of mine for the last 9 years and so I am hoping I will be inspired by my travels to South Africa.  I am looking forward to this cross-cultural experience to help give me an insight into life 8000 miles away.
