How will this impact your education or career?
This internship will greatly enhance my education by providing hands-on experience with diverse cases and treatment approaches, allowing me to apply classroom knowledge to real-world scenarios. Learning within the Australian healthcare system will give me an invaluable international perspective, which will be key in building a well-rounded, culturally competent career in physical therapy.

How will you make a difference in the community?
I aim to contribute to the community by offering empathetic, patient-centered care and supporting patients in their physical therapy journey. Having been a PT patient myself, I understand the importance of creating a safe and motivating space for recovery, and I hope to bring that same positive energy to the patients I work with in Australia.

Why are you passionate about this project?
My own experiences as a PT patient sparked my passion for physical therapy. I have firsthand knowledge of how much compassionate, skilled therapists can impact recovery, and I want to give back by helping others achieve their mobility and wellness goals.

Learning from professionals in this environment will give me a fresh perspective on physical therapy that I can carry forward in my career.

What makes this meaningful for you?
This experience is meaningful because it represents a culmination of my personal and academic journey. As someone who has overcome physical challenges, interning in a field I’m passionate about—while immersing myself in a new culture—is a dream come true and a chance to grow both professionally and personally.
