My Travel Story

I wrapped up my undergrad career by studying abroad in Madrid, Spain for 5 months. My time abroad changed my perspective on life and pushed me to strive for more meaningful and immersive experiences. I fell in love with the Spanish culture (as many do) and I just knew that my journey in Spain had to continue. While abroad, I met several auxiliares of conversación who raved about the cultural experiences that they've had by being teaching assistants to students of all ages in a different country. While my time was ending in Madrid, I knew that this wasn't the end of my journey. I decided to follow my instincts and apply to the NALCAP program. After a couple of long months of waiting to hear back, I was accepted into the program and offered a position in Valencia! While I'm very excited to step into a new chapter of my life, I've realized that the cost of reaching my goal is quite high now that I have graduated and don't have extra support from my scholarships and FAFSA. I am currently working at my part time job to save up money while simultaneously working side jobs such as dog walking, cleaning, selling clothes, etc. to be able to afford this journey. I would greatly appreciate any and every help towards my goal of helping others while simultaneously traveling and immersing myself in a different culture! Thank you ❤️
