My Travel Story

Hello!!! My name is Laura and in April 2022 I will be traveling to Ghana to help build schools and classrooms to help revitalize deprived areas.

The foundation I am fundraising for is called African Adventures and does work across different parts of Africa with all different ages to revitalize deprived communities. The foundation has been making a difference to children's lives since 2009 and its main focus is the improve education and opportunities for young people as a potential route out of poverty. This work is done by improving the school environment to enable more children to attend school and providing teacher support.

My work will involve teaching the children basic English and constructing schools and classrooms to help further their education. As well as upgrading and renovating existing buildings. Other activities involve delivering sport/PE sessions and playing games with the children.

This trip is an experience of a lifetime and I am really grateful to have this opportunity. However, in order for me to go, I will need to fundraise around £2000. I am planning multiple fundraising events such as car-boot sales and non-uniform days, but any donation you can give to help me along my journey would be greatly appreciated.
