make people around the world know javanese language
My Travel Story
I'm excited to launch a campaign with a mission that's close to my heart: promoting the Javanese language and culture to people around the world. The Javanese language is rich, expressive, and accessible, and I want to show the world just how easy and rewarding it can be to learn.
Our first stop on this journey is Japan. By starting in a country known for its deep appreciation of language and culture, we aim to create a bridge between Javanese and Japanese communities, fostering mutual understanding and cultural exchange.
Through this campaign, I will:
Conduct Interactive Workshops: In cities across Japan, I will host workshops where participants can learn basic Javanese phrases, greetings, and conversational skills, making the learning process fun and engaging.
Cultural Events: I will organize events showcasing Javanese arts, music, dance, and cuisine, offering a holistic experience of the culture behind the language.
Online Resources: Develop and distribute digital resources such as apps, e-books, and online courses to make learning Javanese accessible to everyone, no matter where they are.
Collaborations: Partner with local cultural organizations, schools, and universities in Japan to integrate Javanese language and culture into their programs, ensuring a lasting impact.
I believe that language is a powerful tool for connection and understanding. By bringing Javanese to the forefront, we can celebrate its beauty and significance on a global stage. Your support will help us cover travel costs, materials, event logistics, and the creation of educational resources.
Join me in this exciting journey to share the wonders of Javanese language and culture with the world. Let's make Javanese a global phenomenon, starting with our first adventure in Japan!
Thank you for your support and enthusiasm!

Aksara Jawa (Javanese Script)
Aksara Jawa, also known as Hanacaraka, is the traditional script used for writing the Javanese language, which is spoken predominantly on the island of Java in Indonesia. This script is an abugida, meaning that each character represents a consonant followed by an inherent vowel sound, typically 'a'. Other vowels are indicated by diacritics. ?>
Historical Background
Aksara Jawa has its roots in the Brahmic scripts of India and was influenced by the Pallava script. It has been used since ancient times, with the earliest known inscriptions dating back to the 9th century. Historically, the script was used for a variety of purposes, including literature, religious texts, and royal decrees.
Structure and Features
Basic Characters: The script consists of 20 basic consonants known as aksara nglegena. Each consonant carries an inherent 'a' sound.
Diacritics: These are used to change the inherent vowel or to add a final consonant sound. For example, the vowel 'i' is added with a diacritic called "wulu".
Punctuation: Traditional punctuation marks include the comma (taling) and the period (adeg-adeg).
Numerals: Aksara Jawa also includes its own set of numerals, which are distinct from the Arabic numerals used internationally.
Modern Usage
In contemporary times, the use of Aksara Jawa has declined due to the adoption of the Latin alphabet for writing Javanese and Indonesian. However, there has been a revival of interest in the script as a cultural heritage symbol. It is taught in schools in Java, and there are efforts to digitize the script and incorporate it into modern technology.
Cultural Significance
Aksara Jawa is not just a writing system but a representation of Javanese identity and heritage. It is used in various cultural artifacts, including wayang (shadow puppetry) inscriptions, batik designs, and traditional ceremonies.
Learning Resources
For those interested in learning Aksara Jawa, resources include educational books, online tutorials, and mobile apps. Several universities and cultural institutions in Indonesia offer courses and workshops on the script.
