My Travel Story

Hi potential donners, my name is Carrie and 10months ago I set off on an adventure. I was sick of being stuck inside what I call a corporate prison. I wanted so much more from life! 

So I thought f*** it and quit my job, sold my stuff and downsized to an old Mazda e2000 van! 

So far I have been on the road for 10months travelling off what little savings I had (as it was a bit if a snap decision I didn't have time to save!). 

My journey so far has taken me along the coast of Australia from Melbourne to Brisbane. My plan is to do the full loop right around the country. To be honest i just don't want to stop! 

Being on the road has taught me so much personally. I have realised we don't need all these fancy things, the nice car, the big house, that new dress! 

Now my pleasures in life come from true connections, eating locally, being outdoors, living sustainably. Just being an all round decent person appreciating the world for its natural beauty. 

I understand that there are many people asking for help with volunteering projects and educational trips which are most likely more important than what I am doing. I'm not naive however I really don't want my adventure of a lifetime to end! I am in a really great place now in terms of personal development, learning to live harmoniously with this beautiful earth and I know there are more beautiful souls out there for me to meet yet! 

I am trying to get a business up and running as I feel like I need to stay on this path (and out of the corporate prison) but it is very early days and these things take time to turn a profit!
