My Travel Story
I say super hero because with this help you would be literally saving not only myself but my my wife ( just married 7/11/2023) and our 2 dogs (Sirius Black and Athena) and our 2 cats (Bella and moose). That would indeed make you the hero in this story. It is not just the government taking away my rights that has put us in this state of emergency but family is the real villain. My family as I mentioned above started living in our car since April 3rd 2023. Hold on to you seats. This is a long climactic story but I'll try to keep it short for your attentions sake. We worked so hard for what we had which wasn't much. I got diagnosed with fibro and lupus 2 years ago and managed it as best ssi know how. I stay as positive as I can because so many have it so much worse. Anyway we worked and saved up for a 4 day get a way to Florida. We were so excited about Universal ( I love Harry Potter) Now pause this story. When we moved to NC last year housing was sparse as far as what we could afford. My wife's mother offered to cosigned for us so we could get a place easier. We paid our rent on time and never asked for any help. Not even when my lupus hospitalized me. We made due with what we had. Now Un pause! So 3 weeks before our Big overdue trip Jordan (my wife) mother came into town for a visit from Ohio. This would have been the second time I met her and she made me nervous because not only do I want to impress her but her family are upper class type of people where as I grew up in a single wide trailer with great parents. The last night at dinner I asked to have a word with her. I respectfully asked if I could marry her daughter and she seem excited and gave us her blessing. Then se went home and we soon after took off to Florida. We had hired a pet sitter and hit the road. Jordan and her mom talked everyday of our trip and we were having a blast but on our 3rd day we got a call from the sitter in a panic saying our house was empty but the lights are on and the animals are gone. We freaked out called the police and sped home. The leasing office had no information except to take to Jordan's mom. She of course said she had no idea. We had spent all our money on this trip and didn't have clue on what to do. So we got a hotel for $50 a night and that lasted for a few days. The leasing office accidently let us know that her mother had terminated the lease and filed a missing persons report for Jordan. She denied all while letting us know that she actually hated me because I was transgender and she wanted Jordan to leave me. Of course Jordan said she was nuts. I'm pretty sure what she did was illegal. She got rid of all of our things. And I mean everything. Both of my dead parents heirlooms. Pictures, cloths, musical instruments etc. We quickly ran out of money and stopped all contact with her family. About a week past a friend texted and asked what was going on. And sent me screen shots of her mothers Facebook where she told the world that I had KIDNAPPED AND ABUSED Jordan and that she needed help finding her. Mind you again she knew where we were. Entire search parties were looking for us. We had to call the police and let them know that 1 she's not missing and safe and 2 that they needed to put there efforts toward real missing people. She got us fired from our jobs and now your caught up. From April up untill the middle of June we were living in the car and thankfully for now my childhood friend whos more like a sister has opened up her home to us to get us off the street and buy us some time to get the money to get us a place somewhere safe. The new laws and the spotlight against trans people have impacted my health care and our safety.. it's imperative that we get to a safe state that is LGBT Friendly where we can restart and finally live our lives again as newlyweds. In fact we never got a honeymoon so this will double as a honeymoon road trip. So with all that said If you can find it in your heart to help us and I mean any and everything helps.
