This August I will be embarking on an educational and professional adventure! PSU is taking a small group of studets to Edinburgh, Scotland to learn about international publishing. As many of you know, and those who don't will learn, my professional aspiration is to enter the publishing field. This progam is going to allow me to learn about the different positions in that field as well as a chance to see real-life publishing take place. The progarm is taking us to actual publishing houses and the International Book Festival held in Scotland every year. This Festival is one of the reasons this program is so exciting! There will be thousands of authors there and publishing houses from all kinds of countries. We will get to hear guest speakers and learn all kinds of things that aren't covered in a classroom. Scotland is also full of history and being able to explore and learn the country is a wonderful oppurtunity and I am lucky to have it.
