A Christmas Wish: A Surprise Visit Home to My Mom

This Christmas, I have one simple wish: to spend a weekend at home with my mom.

Living abroad and juggling two jobs has made it challenging to visit often. The last time I saw her was four months ago, and she knows I’ll be working through most of the holidays. What she doesn’t know is that I’ve found three days off — just enough time for a surprise visit.

For me, this is more than a trip; it’s a chance to bring her joy, share some much-needed hugs, and remind her how much she means to me. If I were a child, I’d write this wish in a letter to Santa. But as an adult, I’ve found this fundraising platform instead.
