My Travel Story

Hello! My name is Edwin Reyes Oporta, and I’m an ESL teacher. Teaching English has allowed me to connect with people from all over the world, but there’s one place I’ve always dreamed of seeing with my own eyes—Europe.

For years, I’ve been teaching students how to speak English, preparing them for a globalized world. But for me, Europe represents more than just language—it’s the heart of history, culture, and diversity. My dream is to visit Italy, France, and Spain, to immerse myself in the languages and cultures I’ve been teaching about for so long.

As an ESL teacher, I believe there’s no better way to teach than by experiencing things firsthand. If I can walk the streets of Paris, explore the art of Florence, and taste the flavors of Barcelona, I can bring those experiences back to my students in a way that textbooks never could.

But the truth is, being an ESL teacher  doesn’t provide the means to make a trip like this possible on my own. That’s why I’m reaching out for your help. With your support, I can take this dream trip across Europe and continue to inspire my students with real, lived experiences.

I’ll travel through Italy, France, and Spain, learning from the people, the cultures, and the languages I’ve been teaching for years. Every city I visit, every conversation I have, will help me become a better teacher and share even more with my students.

I believe that by traveling, I can grow not only as a teacher but as a person. And I want to bring you along on this journey. If you can contribute, no matter how small, you’ll be helping me achieve a dream I’ve held for years.
