MY LIFE

 

                                                                                       

I'm 28years old ,400level Medical student from College of Basic Medical Science, Abbakar Tafawa Balewa University Bauchi.I was born in Bangim Village, Dass L.G.A, Bauchi State Nigeria;My father died 25years back; later on My mother also followed him.From there our elder brother continued taking care of me up to when he died on car accident when I was in Jss1,it was since from there the negative impact of lack of parents started emerging.

HEALTH CHALLENGE 

Since around 2005,I had right leg injury (dislocation from hip joint) ;I was put under traditional treatment until the leg started discharging pus, they(brothers) took me to hospital, Doctor said no any solution rather than to cut off the leg, fortunately they had denied the suggestions and they continued giving me some concoctions and medication till i partial recovered because up to now I do limp when walking and occasionally is paining especially during trekking,I used to suffer alot when trekking to school/hospital because I'm increasing in weight the leg is seriously paining me,the distance from our hostel to hospital or where I reside in off-campus to school is some how too far.

FAMILY CHALLENGE

Recently,there was our big farmland in our village which we inherited it from our father which him too inherited it from his father, we and many others people used to benefit from the land since after the death of our father, no body claims the ownership of a single portion of the land ,but unfortunately now (around 2023) someone(more distant uncle) that doesn't even work on the farm pretended that his mother's father (which was the younger brother of our grandfather)was the first owner of the farm ,although our grandfather died when our father was at childhood he grew up on the hand of this our grandfather's younger brother.

Just because he(the evil )knew that our family was very weak he can grind us and go, and he also realizes that many elders/witnesses in the village had now died .He spent huge amount of money in the court until he ceased the farmland and eventually sold it.our father spent over 40yrs working on this farm no body ever claim the ownership.Losing of this farmland is negatively affecting my studies through increasing the financial burden experiencing in school.

In other hand,as a Male youth you need to take some loads of responsibilities of your younger ones, despite with my burden I used to manage to sponsor the secondary school education for one orphan (my elder brother's child), likewise sometime i do used to pay rent fee annually for the room in house which we reside in the hand of a old woman (our's father first spouse),by now we are now spending up to 15yrs in the house renting.

MY EDUCATIONAL AND OUR COMMUNITY CHALLENGES

When I finished my secondary school, I then struggled upto completion of my Diploma in science Laboratory technology unknowingly assuming that it was part of Medical courses which is not, this made me to applied again for Medical course in 2019.

The idea about making attempt to get a scholarship had been in my heart since I had got an admission to study Medicine because I'm the one that take my school's responsibilities,since our community do not value Western education. My passion of becoming medical doctor is accidental ;this is because our community (village) even a single good health practitioner don't have, it's just only one volunteer now is inside the clinic; Healthcare for especially women and children is at high risk.Achieving this dream would not only our indigent family but would also revive our community health status; what kind of happiness (a community without single good health care provider) would felt when they get medical doctor!

REQUESTING OF SUPPORT 

Actually Begging people for either food or money isn't good at all ! except condition warrant that, I have no word that I can use to convince people and know that I have deserved to be given assistance ,as I'm telling you now even school fee for this incoming 2025 session I don't know how can I pay . this is why decided to share my privacy with public (but not with people near me ,I do hide my problems )to seek for assistance so that It would help me in achieving my Goal.

Below is the rough breakdown of the fund I would be requesting:

IMMEDIATE NEED

1.School fee/accommodation/foodstuffs:this is backbone for this request=$1500

2.Buying of a vehicle/Laptop and others reading materials: this would help to reduce stresses/trekking on the impaired leg:$1500

OTHER NEED 

3.Although retrieval of this farmland could be difficult;by now even if you exhumed this case in court and win the case, he(the devil) had already destroyed the fund he collected .The easiest way is to buy it from the person that bought it and return it back to the way it was before(This is my second goal after school),the farmland might reach almost 1000ft,and if you are to buy it now you can spend at least: $7000

We need public assistance in retrieving this farmland it's not only our family that benefits from it

4.finally ,if there is someone that has a particular skills/experiences to help me to be self dependent in the school because my others elder brother s even feeding their family is a big deal,it actually help to reduce my financial burden in the course of my studies .
