Traveling to China to learn about OrCam will deepen my understanding of AI assistive technology, exposing me to cutting-edge innovations not yet widely available in Kenya. This hands-on experience will enhance my technical skills, broaden my global perspective, and equip me with knowledge to advocate for inclusive education, making me a more effective changemaker in disability rights and tech-driven solutions.

Difference in My Community .
By bringing back OrCam’s technology and training, I will empower Kenya’s blind community with tools for independence—improving education, employment, and daily life. I’ll organize workshops, partner with schools, and lobby for accessibility policies, creating lasting change and inspiring others to champion inclusivity.

My Passion.
Having witnessed the struggles of blind students in Kenya, I’m driven to bridge the gap between disability and opportunity. Technology like OrCam can transform lives, and my passion lies in ensuring no one is left behind. This project merges my love for tech, education, and social justice into meaningful action.

Why China?
China is a leader in AI and assistive tech innovation, with growing applications for disabilities. By learning from its advancements and adapting them to Kenya’s context, I can tailor solutions that are affordable and scalable, maximizing impact.

Why It’s Meaningful .
This journey represents hope—for me, the blind community, and Kenya’s future. It’s more than travel; it’s a chance to turn empathy into action, proving that technology can break barriers and create a world where disability doesn’t limit potential.
