My Travel Story

I really cannot wait to start this program! This will be a truly meaningful travel experience because I have wanted to volunteer abroad for a very long time and now I can! I have enjoyed working with children of all ages for many years now and this is my chance to really make a difference to some. Colombia is a beautiful, developing country, however due to the country's difficult past, children are not always seen as a priority. So many children do not receive the simple love and attention that they need to grow and learn, and I am privileged to be able to give this to a child.

My program with IVHQ will see me looking after the children in need, participating in activities and also helping with meal times. I will be doing this for 3 weeks, staying in a volunteer household with other IVHQ volunteers on several different programs.

I would love as many shares and donations as possible to help me fund my exciting adventure to Bogotá, Colombia! :)
