My Travel Story

I will be traveling 5000 miles to the beautiful south american country of Uruguay to study for about 5 and half months. During this trip I will be learning all there is to know about the Uruguayan culture and South American culture overall. While in montevideo, I will be living with the Reboledo family and will be doing all that i can to fit in and adjust to their way of life. I plan of seeking out volunteer oportunities within the community as well as taking part in a community service class in which we will be preforming organized activities around the country (because it is small enough for easy domestic travel). I believe that this experience will not only help me better understand the way of life of uruguayan citizens, but I believe it will be a fantastic oportunity for me to learn about myself and grow as an individual. This is the first time I will have been away from Raleigh North Carolina, my family, and my friends, for more than a month and I must say I am quite nervious to leave. Although this adventure will take everything Ive got, I believe I will come out the other end as an experienced and well rounded individual. I hope to keep a blog in which I will update all of my family, friends, and supporters of my trip about the day to day activites and happenings while im there.
