My Travel Story

I will be travelling from Calgary Alberta, all the way to Costa Rica. The volunteer portion of the trip lasts two weeks. While there I will be caring for animals in one of the shelters. Animals have always held a special place in my heart. I myself have a dog, her name is Mac. She is my best friend, I take her with me everywhere I go. It breaks my heart to know there are animals out there that won't get to experience the love that can be given. I am looking to gain individual growth, to learn how  much of an impact this experience and others like this have on different communities. My family used to actually own property in Costa Rica, I have the opportunity to visit once before and it had always been somewhere I wanted to go back. I look forward to going back and making a difference in some animals lives by the time I return home.
