My Travel Story

The call on my life to work with children started at a very young age. I knew that when I grew up I needed to work in a field that would invest in kids and their development. Working as a nanny for the past 4 years and while currently studying in school to be a doula/perinatal nutritionist, I have started to act on fulfilling my purpose. At the beginning of this year, I took time to reflect and realized that with as much change as I have been able to make in the lives of kids in my local community, there was still this desire in me to do more. After prayer and lots of thought it was placed on my heart to do something outside of my comfort zone where I could share my passion for kids and make a difference. So September 30th of this year, I will be heading to Zambia to work as a volunteer in different childcare centers over the course of 4 weeks. Here I will be working with children aged 2-7 teaching them basic life skills, school subjects such as english and math, and will be assisting in everyday formative activities. I am beyond excited to have this opportunity and would greatly appreciate any and all support you can give!
