Volunteering in South Africa
My Travel Story
I will be out there for 5 weeks and I need to raise £1,095 to cover the costs of food, accomodation and travel whilst out there. I also need to book my flights and so my goal is to raise around £1,200.
I am currently studying Sports Psychology & Coaching at Bournemouth uni and I volunteer at a local primary school helping to coach the children there, and so this opportunity abroad will be an amazing experience and a great way for me to start my placement year.
Anyone who could help me by donating whatever they can will be hugely appreciated and will go to a great cause.
I have rasied money before when I ran the London Marathon for Multiple Sclerosis Society, a charity close to my heart, and the generosity that people showed was amazing. I managed to raise just under £800 in 3 months and couldn't have been more greatful for it. Because of how successful this was (and just because I love running), I am going to be running the Manchester Marathon in April 2017 to try and help raise money for my trip to South Africa. I will also be running the Gloucester 20 in March 2017 and will organise cake sales and other fundraising events to try and reach my target.
Any donations recieved will be greatly appreciated and I thank you, in advance, to anyone who kindly does so. If I manage to exceed my target (I know, bit of an ask!), then anything extra will be donated to charity.
