My Travel Story

I am Ishara from Sri Lanka. I have two children: a 3-year-old boy and a 10-year-old girl. A few years ago, my husband left me and the children. He had an affair with another woman and cheated on me. Now, he is living with her. I have filed for divorce in court, but he has not appeared. The court has issued a warrant for his arrest, but he is missing.

I only have my mother to support me, as my father passed away when I was a child. My main challenge is that I cannot take a regular job because I need to care for my younger son and take my daughter to and from school. To make ends meet, I do some work from home and earn a little money.

The biggest problem I face is that I have no place to live. We were staying in a rented house, but after my husband left, we could not afford to pay the rent. My husband owns an empty piece of land, so I moved there with my children and mother. We built a small temporary house, but I cannot afford to complete it.
