Hello everyone! My name is Emi Lopez and I am a 17-year-old student with a passion for travel and language learning. Spanish is my first language, but when me and my family moved to Indiana, I was unable to finish my proper education in Mexico. Now, I want to further my knowledge of the Spanish language and deepen my connection to my cultural roots.

I am thrilled to announce that I have been selected to participate in the Indiana University Honors Program in Foreign Languages (IUHPFL) trip to Oviedo, Spain. This comprehensive program will include host family accommodation, food, transportation, airfare, course materials, and exciting excursions. This is a unique opportunity for me to immerse myself in the Spanish language and culture, and to gain a deeper understanding of my heritage.

As a native Spanish speaker, I have always been proud of my roots, but I also recognize the importance of being able to communicate with my family and friends in a more sophisticated manner. I believe that this trip will not only allow me to improve my Spanish skills, but also help me to connect with my heritage in a deeper and more meaningful way.

The cost of the trip is $7810, and I am reaching out to you for support. Every donation, big or small, will bring me closer to my goal and help me make this dream a reality. I promise to work hard and make the most of this opportunity.
