My Travel Story

It has been long enough and my Wife absolutely deserves this trip. You see, 12 years ago we became one and we have always been a team from day one. We've had trials and tribulations stretching for miles that have prevented us from having our honeymoon. The first major obstacle came when I injured on my job and after a year of epidural shots, I had 2 spinal surgeries. My Wife had to provide for our family by herself and it was a very tough struggle, as well as having to tend to me, because I had very limited mobility. Unfortunately I was fired from my job because they couldn't hold my position any longer, but I was fortunate to be offered employment from another job, 8 months after my surgeries. I was nowhere near ready to go back to work, but I needed to help my Wife and ease the pressure from her having to carry the family. My new job monopolized my time for years, but I was able to save up to finally give her what she deserved all along. Then Covid hit and put another hold on our plans. Then, in April 2022, at 4am on my way to work, I was hit by a car that ran a red light and fled the scene, leaving me with 4 broken ribs, dislocated shoulder and a long gash from my belly to my back. Since I wasn't officially at work, I couldn't get worker's compensation and I spent the next 9 months out of work and not getting paid, except for 3 months of insurance payments that wasn't enough to even pay the rent. Here my Wife was, yet again, having to carry the family on her own as my savings helped her, it also depleted. I had gone through the savings, all my sick and vacation time by month 6, so the last 3 months were really bad... So bad that I had to just suck it up and get back to work, no matter the pain I was in. I have been playing catch up ever since the beginning of last year, and with inflation as high as it is, it's nearly impossible to save anything. We both turned 50 years old and didn't get to celebrate it properly. So I would like to be able to take her to an exotic island for the Honeymoon she more than deserves, because she has been nothing but the epitome of Strength and Resilience for our Family!
If you can find it anywhere in your heart to donate to us and give 2 people that have persevered through a great many battles, while still raising 4 children to still get beautiful grades, despite the hardships, and remained great hearted kids, who are all grown now. We'd be Graciously Thankful and Grateful!
Thank you in advance for your kindness.
