My Travel Story

My campaign is expected to be inspirational to others because I came up with an idea for a self sustaining farm based model that can help most people in my country achieve their basic needs. Currently, there has been high inflation and people are unable to meet their basic needs, particularly food and shelter. My travel will involve marketing an idea where a quarter of an acre can be well utilized to provide subsistence food, slightly commercial farm products, a home, energy, and transport needs. 

This will impact my career on the basis of empowering people in my community and neighboring countries achieve food security at the personal level. I have studied Environmental Resource Conservation and understand the best approaches on matters such as Advocacy and Sustainable Development. I have an old truck that will be used to move around, thereby making fuel my primary concern and maintenance costs of the truck. 

I chose these destinations because I can easily come up with a route path and ensure that I cover all the areas. I can also make follow ups and determine if the project is being successful and find areas that might need adjustment. I expect to document this process so that it becomes possible to replicate the same model among many people outside this route path. 

This jourey is meaningful to me because it would create a self reliant scoiety which will become less dependent on foreign aid and relief food. I think that Africa has everything it needs to feed itself and even export to other countries. Therefore, this journey would be a start towards achieving this dream.
