My Travel Story

Hello family and friends,
God willing, I will be going on a research trip to South Africa to study the Great White shark! On this trip I will be teaming up with a group of students from around the world to do shark conservation research. We will be monitoring the population of White sharks to correct the misconceptions of their violent nature. We will also be working with the community to bring awareness to environmental issues. More specifically, we will be working in a "Swap Shop," where local kids are encouraged to bring recyclables in exchange for points, which they can then use to get school supplies and clothes. In addition to this, I will be learning basic seamanship skills and data collection skills. However, this is a costly trip and I am in need of support. Any donation for this educational trip is welcomed. I also ask for prayers! This is a new experience and I will be taking on this journey with a group of strangers, however all with a similar passion for marine animals and the environment. Si Dios quiere, iré en un viaje de investigación a Sudáfrica para estudiar al Gran tiburón blanco. En este viaje, me asociaré con un grupo de estudiantes de todo el mundo para realizar investigaciones de conservación de tiburones. Estaremos monitoreando a la población de tiburones blancos para corregir los conceptos erróneos de su naturaleza violenta. También trabajaremos con la comunidad para concienciar sobre los problemas ambientales. Más específicamente, trabajaremos en una "tienda de intercambio", donde se alienta a los niños locales a traer materiales reciclables a cambio de puntos, que luego pueden usar para obtener útiles escolares y ropa. Además de esto, aprenderé habilidades básicas de marinería y habilidades de recopilación de datos. Sin embargo, este es un viaje costoso y necesito ayuda. Cualquier donación para este viaje educativo es bienvenida. ¡También pido oraciones! Esta es una nueva experiencia y emprenderé este viaje con un grupo de extraños, pero todos con una pasión similar por los animales marinos y el medioambiente.
