My Travel Story

Hey, My name Is Tamara or Esther:), I am twenty two years old, I live in Nigeria and I am currently trying to fund a trip to Italy.

For about a year, i've been chatting with a group of friends on a Whatsapp group chat. We talk every single day but have never met because we live on different sides of the globe. We finally decided we should meet up and picked Italy as our destination and first ever physical meeting because we all have always wanted to go there. The rest of the girls already live in Europe so it's an easier trip for them. I, however, live all the way in Africa! So I would need to first:

- Apply for a visa- $190,
-pay for a flight ticket-$1,200,
-Pay for both accommodation and  train rides- $700.
-Plus general funds for food and activities and any emergency -$500.

=$3,290 in total. I'll be spending this in euros so I'm not sure how that will translate. I've ambitiously rounded that up to $4500 just in case.
(the extra 500 is just me being even more ambitious and honestly, hoping i could use it to fix my broken phone before the trip haha )

being able to unite with my friends would be the greatest gift. I cannot express my gratitude enough, if I'm able to get any little bit of support for this trip. It would be of tremendous help to me. My whole trip when converted to Nigerian currency (Naira) is 5 million and that just feels impossible. I can't even consider saving up money that would be enough. The trip is plan for the 4th of June 2024, and I’d love to be able to get any funds for it before then.
