My Travel Story

Hi!
My name is Andrea. I'm a 16-years old girl from Denmark. 
I have always been a big fan of travelling and that's why this summer, in august, I will jump on a flight to South Korea and attend something called afterschool.

The afterschool is called Ggumtle (꿈틀리) and is a new project, started up in february 2016 by Oh Yeonho. Ggumtle is the first afterschool in South korea, hopefully out of many, based on the danish efterskole. 
On this afterschool will I be living with 30 korean students in dormitories. All classes will mainly be teached in korean, besides from english classes of course. Vacations and national holidays will I be spending with a korean family. 

The whole meaning/goal with this trip for me, is to improve my korean (I attend korean classes every monday in my free time) I also want to learn more about the korean culture, and meet new people.  
This trip is really a great opportunity for me to basically get to know South Korea. I mean, I get to be in the country, live with korean students on my own age and visit a korean family once in awhile. This is a opportunity for me to make my own network in another country. 
But this trip is not just all about studying either. It's also about me improving as a person. I hope to get to know myself better. I hope to be a more open and independent person. Lastly I hope to maybe get an answer to the question, what do I want to do in the future?  

This trip is actually also connected to my choice of high school.
I'm applying for a high school who has a partnership with South Korea. This high school highly prioritize globalization and knowledge about other cultures. Which is exactly what I'm looking for in a high school.
