Dear Friends and Supporters,

My name is Sara. I am a junior doctor who just received her medical license after 18 months of internship. I am reaching out to share an incredible opportunity I have been given and to ask for your support. In 2 months, I will be traveling to Sierra Leone with Dr Lars Seligman (seen in the pictures in green scrubs), the founder of Bridging Health Development  to volunteer at a local hospital, where I will be working with women and children suffering from life-threatening diseases that can be so easily cured if they were lucky enough to be born somewhere else.

Sierra Leone is one of the poorest countries in the world, with over half of its population living below the poverty line. The healthcare system is under-resourced, and many children do not have access to the medical care they desperately need. This trip is not just a chance for me to grow as a doctor, but more importantly, it is a chance to make a real difference in the lives of these children.

Bridging Health Development is a non-profit organization founded in 2017 by Dr Lars. It relys totally on the generous donations of the community and Dr Lars' pension. Today the organization has a partnership with Njala University to provide education and better healthcare possibilities to the local community.

I will be working alongside local experienced doctors to treat conditions that are rarely seen in other parts of the world, giving me invaluable experience and the ability to bring hope to families who have little access to specialized care. This experience will be crucial for my career as it will allow me to develop skills in a challenging environment, preparing me to better serve communities in need. Moreover, Dr Lars and I will be traveling around several villages in order to educate communities and inform about our services at the hospital which are free of charge for children under the age of 15.

However, to make this trip possible, I need your help. The costs of travel, medical supplies, and living expenses add up, and I am seeking donations to fund my trip. Any amount, big or small, will make a significant difference and will go directly towards supporting this mission of providing critical care to children who need it most.

I kindly ask you to share this campaign with family, friends, and colleagues or anyone interested in making a difference in a child's life.

Thank you so much for considering supporting this important work. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the lives of children in Sierra Leone.
