My Travel Story
Hi friends! We’ve always been told that the older you get, the harder it becomes to travel. That’s why we decided to do a little traveling this summer.
For those of you who don’t know us, our names are Nathan Sheridan and Jonathan Zaharek; we are from a small farming community called Cedarville in south-western Ohio.
Nathan is a student at Wright State University in Dayton, Ohio studying Mechanical Engineering while also working part time as an auctioneer.
Jonathan is a professional landscape photographer and Word of Life Bible Institute graduate who has spent the past five year growing his photo career by capturing the diverse beauty of this world and selling his work online and in a gallery in upstate NY.
We have an exciting opportunity this coming summer of 2018 to fulfill a huge dream. We have spent the past 8 months planning a 3000-mile bike trip across 12 different countries in Europe and are looking forward to our flight “across the pond” this coming May. Every night, we will be setting up camp or "Couchsurfing" with those we meet along the way.
Our tentative itinerary is to set down in Lisbon, Portugal, bike down into southern Spain and cross the Strait of Gibraltar into Morocco for a day or two before continuing along the Mediterranean all the way into Andorra, France, the Italian Alps, and ending in Slovenia. From there Jonathan will be returning to the states while Nathan will be hopping on a train to visit with some friends in the UK and Germany.
We would definitely appreciate prayer as we work out the final details of this trip. While this AMAZING opportunity is purely recreational for us, we are college aged kids; that being said, this is also quite a big expense for us. It is not necessary to make this dream a reality, and we don’t want to come across as “those guys”, but, frankly, any monetary support - be it even a dollar or two - would go a LONG way in offsetting some of the cost of this venture.
Now, because we don’t want to come across as those guys, we do want to offer you SOMETHING in return. Jonathan, because he is a landscape photographer would like to give back a twenty percent discount on any of the stunning photos that are on his website to those who choose to bless us financially. In addition, any profit that is made on the sales of those photos when this twenty percent discount is applied will be donated to a cause.
