My Travel Story

Hi! I am Lai Tham, born and raised in Malaysia.The pandemic has affected the lives of many including my very own family. Last month, I've lost a lot of things from the worst floods in Malaysia. I was raised by my single mother including my other 2 siblings. For many months, my mother faced issues of not being able to provide enough financially. Furthermore, my sister is still in university, so my brother and I now hold the responsibility of having to provide for the family.

Ever since I was a kid I have dreamt of studying arts as my first option in terms of my career path. Fortunately, I have managed to enroll myself into a public university in my country with low tuition fees but they offered me International Marketing instead of Arts. After graduating from the university, I managed to land myself a job immediately and was able to have some income saved so that someday I could finally achieve my dreams. After many strenuous years of hard work and perseverance to have some money saved, alas the pandemic came and caused further difficulties for me.

With the current financial commitments that I now endure, I would like to start a fundraiser. This would lighten the burden caused by the pandemic and I would be sincerely appreciative.
