My Travel Story

Hello, my name is Greta Stroebel. I am 24 and I am currently living in Petaling Jaya, Selangor, Malaysia, doing the lecture phase of my Discipleship Training School with YWAM. I am learning so much and growing in my faith everyday. We do alot of outreach in the community like volunteering at the local home for the elderly and visiting people who are sick in their home, bringing food and company and prayer. I am so blessed to be able to experience this beautiful country and learn about the culutre and the language here as well as being able to show love to people who may feel they have been forgotten. We have just recieved news about the lecture phase of our DTS, and we are set to go to Japan and Indonesia. The cost for the tickets and accommadation is 1,900 USD and at this time I do not have the funds to go. I am sure God will take me wherever he wants me to go and I have already been so lucky to have this time in Malaysia, but if you would like to contribute to the outreach portion of my DTS, please consider.     Here I was able to sing in Chinese to an elderly Chinese woman with dementia. She recognized the song and sang along and it was so powerful, I feel very lucky to have this experience.
