My Travel Story

Thank you for checking out my fundraising page. After auditioning for the Interharmony International Music Festival, I was honored to be accepted to study my instrument (clarinet!) and experience the culture of Italy for two weeks this summer.
This incredible opportunity will make me a better musician and enable me to become a better global citizen by allowing me to interact and perform with other musicians from all around the world. Of course, this amazing experience also carries a major expense. So I'm asking for donations to help me on my musical and cultural journey.

Here's a detailed description of where I am going and what I'm doing -taken from the Interharmony website: 
"The Woodwinds, Brass, & Percussion program is extensive, intensive and unique, with the idea of an immersive musical environment allowing for optimal focus on artistic and technical development, studying with an internationally-recognized Artist faculty, at the same time meeting musical colleagues from around the globe. It is designed to boost students to the next level of playing. The unique aspect of the winds and brass program is that students have the opportunity to explore repertoire that they do not usually get to study at home. Some players may have ensembles with all woodwinds or all brass, and others will play in mixed chamber music groups...The beauty of their surroundings and cultural experience is ideal for artistic growth."
