A Marine Mom’s Journey
I am reaching out today with a humble heart and a request I never thought I would have to make. This coming March 2026, my son—who joined the Marine Corps immediately after high school and is currently stationed in California—is becoming a father to a baby boy. This will be my very first grandchild, and I am desperate to be there to welcome him into the world.

For many years, I fought private battles with my own demons while doing my best to raise my children and keep our home running. I worked hard my entire life to ensure my kids had everything they needed and more. However, life has taken a toll on my health; I am now only able to work part-time for medical reasons, and I am barely scraping by.

I have never been one to ask for help—not from friends, family, or the community. But I realize that my pride isn't as important as being there for my son and my grandson. I am looking to raise $1,500 to cover a round-trip flight from the East Coast to California and a modest rental vehicle so I can be mobile while I’m there.
