My Travel Story

by: Randi Williams Start Date: Oct 9, 2013 - End Date: Jan 10, 2014

Hi Everyone,

My name is Randi Williams and I am a transferring Junior at Towson University. I will be attend Lorenzo de' Medici – The Italian International Institute in the Spring of 2014. I am currently double majoring in Mass Communications and Political Science at Towson Univ. and I am also apart of Her Campus Towson Online Magazine. I transferred with a 2.8 GPA and I hope to earn higher then a 3.0 by the end of this Fall semester. I am a great student and I have no problem working hard to obtain what I need to accomplish in my career. When I graduate I plan on becoming a Communications Director of Apple Inc. and a Education Activist that will fight for and encourage better funding for all public school in the United States. This funding will keep schools open with clean water, adequate books, up-to-date curriculums, technology, and clubs that will help every child along the way of their K-12 education. I also plan to encourage funding for recreation centers so that all students will have a place to go, which also intels giving them a chance to endure after school activities like the chess club, football, basketball, or dance.

Outside of school I model for Modelogic Wilhelmina in VA, mentor 2 young ladies in the Baltimore area, and work a part time job at Love Culture Inc. in Towson Mall. During the summer when college is over I usually still have a job, volunteer at the recreation center, usually Medfield Heights in Baltimore, MD, and run back and forth to photo shoots.

Studying abroad will enchance my knowledge of the Italian culture and education. Italy will open up my connections to job opportunities and connections that will help me move forward in my career as a double major. Studying abroad will also encourage an open heart and mind to what I will soon get ready to see.

If there is anything you can give, I would greatly appreciate it. Your money will not be thrown away, it will be used to move me to Florence, Italy from January to May of 2014.

To all of the people that will donate, I will do all that I can to fullfil my promise to you... not only as a student, but as a future leader for all of the children and  families that are in need.

Thank you for your time,
Randi Willams
