My Travel Story

Hi there my name is Edward and I could really use your help. Since last October I have been dealing with serious long covid issues (brain fog, chronic fatigue, reduced memory capacity, psychological distress, and migraines) and I have watched my savings fall away as I try to battle my illness and find a job. I moved to Mexico in January with the intention to find a job online but due to my illness, I really struggled to understand what I needed to do and have the energy and focus to do it. It has been a serious struggle, especially recently as my girlfriend is from Mexico and we are trying to move back there from Ireland. We had to return to Ireland in June because of visa issues for me in Mexico. She has until September to return to Mexico and it would be heartbreaking if I cannot join her. She is also dealing with her own health issues feeling chronic pain in her body every day, high levels of stress, anxiety, and she deals with ADHD on a day-to-day basis.

I am currently studying online how to become a freelance writer. I have a lot of academic experience in English and Psychology but due to my health conditions, I am unable to work properly in office settings or have my own practice. Working a couple of hours per day on my laptop writing is all that I can achieve right now. I say all of this, so you understand that I really need help to get my life back on track. I need financial support for me and my girlfriend to return to Mexico and afford the rent meanwhile I work online and start to make some income. I also need support financially to get some brain scans and other health-related support so that I can return my health to something like normal and have the energy and brain capacity to support myself and my girlfriend. She also needs help to go see an endocrinologist to manage her hormones and get the help that she needs.

I would not be making this post if my situation was not desperate. We have been living off the support of our parents and I am so grateful for their help but it cannot continue indefinitely and so here I am pleading to the world.
